It’s just an idea……….or is it? The importance of planningOver the weekend I had the pleasure to be at an event for entrepreneurs in Birmingham. I spent a couple of hours in the company of Michelle Mone OBE, she is a Scottish entrepreneur and the lady behind the Ultimo Bra brand. What an amazing lady she is, who from humble beginning, showed sheer guts and determination, worked extremely hard and built a global brand from just a good idea.
She showed immense drive, ambition and great planning believing in herself and driving onwards when circumstances conspired against her. Her mantra is don’t ever give up, don’t wait for people to come to you and above all planning is key.
Planning is something that all business owners should do before starting out on any new business venture. That’s not the end of it though, it should be revisited every year, although sadly, most don’t and this is the single biggest reason why businesses fail.
